Irish head for
Blokart World Champs
The Belgium Blokart Club will be hosting the Blokart World Championships which will take place in Ostende, Belgium from 13th to 17th October 2010

137 Blokart sailors from all over the world are taking part and NI has two sailors travelling with Team UK. They are Mark Richardson from Bangor and Pat Letters from Ballymena. Pat is a Blokart Instructor with Mectec Blokart at 17 Dundrod Road, Crumlin, whose company is also the distributors for Blokart into Ireland.

Mark is also involved with the outdoor scene working with Northern Irish company Surf Mountain.Pat has won the British Championships in 2009 in the Production Heavyweight class and managed to retain the title at the 2010 British Championships at the end of September 2010 which as held at Pembrey in South Wales.

This major event in the Blokart fraternity has attracted some sponsors such as Euromillions, Volvo, Slam and Ostende Tourism.
