Chain Reaction Cycles sponsor Triathlon World
Championship Series...
This week marked a special partnership for
Chain Reaction Cycles and the International Triathlon Union (ITU)
as they announced their sponsorship of the Dextro Energy Triathlon
ITU World Championship Series.
Entering its third year, the Dextro Energy
Triathlon ITU World Championship Series is the world's premier
triathlon series, where athletes will compete in seven events
with total points added to determine the title of ITU Triathlon
World Champion.
This
year's series will start off in Sydney in April, and then touch
down in Yokohama, Madrid, Kitzbühel, Hamburg, London and
finish in Beijing for the Grand Final in September.
Last year, 21,000 athletes competed in
mass-participation races in the Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World
Championship Series in front of 700,000 spectators and global
television audiences in 149 countries. It is expected to attract
higher numbers in 2011, making it one of the most watched tri-sport
events in the world.
Marisol Casado, ITU President and IOC Member
said: "It is a pleasure to have a partner who like us, is
committed to helping triathletes around the world. Chain Reaction
Cycles makes top products available to athletes anywhere and everywhere
through its impressive online store and we're delighted to work
with them through our premier series."
Damien Duggan, Advertising Manager from
Chain Reaction Cycles said: "We are delighted to be part
of the Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship Series,
which will see the world's best triathletes compete on the global
triathlon circuit. Linking up with such a prestigious event is
perfect for us, and with stages being held in Sydney, London and
Beijing, its set to be one of the most exciting yet for competitors
and spectators alike. The London round on August 6-7 should provide
an excellent test for the competitors, as they get the final chance
to race the course before the 2012 Olympic Games. We cannot wait!"
Chain
Reaction Cycles' very own sponsored triathlete Bryan Keane will
be gunning for a place at the top of the podium throughout the
series. You can read more about him here www.chainreactioncycles.com
