The first Ulster XC race of 2010 and the 3rd round of the Irish XC NPS were jointly hosted in the stunning setting of Belfast's Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park. The three mile circuit hid a new surprise at every turn and even the fittest competitors were spotted panting on that final climb to the finish line after lapping the course six times. Despite threatening clouds, the rain stayed away and the atmosphere remained festive and family friendly. Crowds gathered at the finish line to geer on the riders across all categories, although our suspicions are that it was Cycling Ireland's free tea and sandwiches that were the real pull!
